P A College of Engineering is an engineering college in Karnataka, India situated at Konaje 25 km from Mangalore. It was founded by Kerala-based businessman Dr. P A Ibrahim in 2000. The college is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum and recognised by the government of Karnataka. The college is accredited by N.B.A.

The main building on the 50-acre (200,000 m2) campus was designed by Upalker Sadekar architects, Mumbai. Yearly approximately 500 engineers graduate.

P.A. Educational trust was established in 1999.

The college is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University Belgaum, approved by AICTE, New Delhi and recognized by the Govt. of Karnataka as a minority institution. The college was established with a sanctioned intake of 240 students, 60 students in each of four disciplines: Electronics and Communication, Telecommunication, Computer Science, and Information Science. It has grown since then, adding three more courses i.e. Mechanical Engineering, Biotechnology, and Civil Engineering and increasing the total intake to 480.

Last year the college was successful in getting permission to establish and run research centres in Electronics and Communication, Biotechnology, Chemistry and Computer Science Engineering. Aspirants willing to pursue research in these fields leading to the award of Ph.D or M.Sc (Engg.) by research can apply for the same. The department of Chemistry headed by Dr. B.K. Sarojini has been successfully awarded grants by reputed organization like BRNS, MOES to the tune of Rs. 40 Lacs to conduct research.

In Feb 2009 P.A. College of engineering became the very first institution to acquire the post coveted NBA accreditation in the district of Mangalore (D.K).

In the very next year of establishing the engineering college, the trust was successful in establishing a P.G department of business Administration offering MBA Programme with the sanctioned intake of 120 seats. Efforts are on to develop this as a leading business school churning out the best management graduates.

It established P.A. First Grade College in 2001, affiliated to Mangalore University, comprising a BCA, BBM and B.Com course (which was added later). This college boasts of a combined student strength of 750 out of which more than 60% are from the vicinity of the college.

The trust continued its venture of establishing & running successful educational institutions. It opened a Pre- University College in the academic year 2005-06 with science & commerce streams having combined student strength of 350. This institution has put out one batch of successful students with good academic performance. One of the factors of establishing this college was to have a feeder institution to the already established institution.

The latest venture of the Trust is P.A. Polytechnic, established in 2006 offering Diploma education in Electronics & Communication, Electrical & Electronics, Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering. It was successful in adding Mechanical Engineering branch with an intake of 40 students in 2009. Presently the polytechnic has a sanctioned intake of 260.

The trust is also running full fledged hostels separately for both boys and girls. The hostel mess caters healthy and hygienic food to a total student strength of about 1200 on a daily basis.

The trust which was envisioned with an aim of imparting quality education has got its engineering college and P.G. Department of Business Administration certified to ISO 9001-2008 as a seal of quality assurance.

The Trust is well equipped to establish more educational institutions and offer many more courses. In order to develop the existing institutions and make them centers of excellence the trust has started taking steps in the right direction.

The Trust has plans of continuing in the path of development making the institutions into an autonomous and ultimately into a Deemed University.
